In a letter directed to banks that have not pledged to refuse to fund any new oil and gas development in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the Gwich’in Steering Committee called on these financial institutions to join those that already have. This letter was directed to Bank of America, U.S. Bank, Truist Bank, PNC Bank, Capital One, BNY Mellon, and Charles Schwab. Numerous environmental and indigenous organizations signed on to this letter, including SOIL.
